Es handelt sich um reale Prüfungen von Hundetrainern und Hundetrainerinnen, die nach §11 Nr. 8f TierSchG für die gewerbsmäßige Ausbildung von Hunden für Dritte oder für die Anleitung der Ausbildung der Hunde durch den Hundehalter eine Erlaubnis des zuständigen Veterinäramtes benötigen. Hierfür ist die Hundetrainer-Zertifizierung der Tierärztekammer Niedersachsen eine Möglichkeit, die erforderliche Sachkunde nachzuweisen. Die Prüfung besteht aus einem praktischen Teil und einem anschließenden Fachgespräch und wird von der Tierärztekammer in Kooperation mit der TiHo durchgeführt.
Die WP-Teilnehmer/innen stellen sich für den praktischen Teil der Prüfungen der Hundetrainer als Hund-Halter-Team zur Verfügung. Studierende ohne Hund können als Zuschauer/Zuhörer teilnehmen. Die Studierenden erhalten u.a. Kenntnisse über Lerntheorie, Verhaltensentwicklung und Ausdrucksverhalten von Hunden, Ausbildung/Training von Hunden und rechtliche Aspekte.

Gaining knowledge on how to cite and reference other people's work. Discussion of relevant aspects on avoiding intentional and unintentional plagiarism.

The module consists of two parts:

- The "Epigeum" online course (compulsory, 2h credit) can be taken after receipt of the personal software token. It ends with a test. Certificates will only be issued after passing the test. It is forbidden to pass the tokens on.

- The seminar (optional, 2h credit) on MS Teams is meant to discuss open questions and to receive feedback. It is highly recommended and can be attended in a different semester after passing the online test.

After a general introduction to “where, how and what to search”, we will have a more detailed look into different kinds of search engines, databases, catalogues and discovery systems. In addition, we will elaborate effective search strategies which are optimized based on the specific demands.

EndNote enables its users to manage bibliographic data as well as full text documents effectively. It is a useful tool to add citations to a text document which suit the formal requirements of a research article or a PhD thesis. The features of EndNote will be explored by means of various examples.

The processes of collecting, organising, analysing and communicating data are essential elements of conducting research. If research data is not systematically processed, a subsequent data loss is inevitable. The loss of data results in fragmented data sets which prevents further reuse and therefore is in contradiction to the rules of good scientific practice.
This seminar focuses on improving knowledge, awareness and skills in research data management to establish sustainable data environments. Data handling strategies and best practices will also be discussed in the context of Open Science.
