Literature management

For the effective management of references and the creation of bibliographies, we recommend the use of specialised programmes. They facilitate the error-free citation of sources in scientific papers and the implementation of the correct citation style. You are welcome to take part in one of our Endnote training courses.

Cite correctly and avoid plagiarism

The scientific citation of literature sources serves to protect intellectual property and to avoid plagiarism. It shows that you have dealt with the topic comprehensively and have taken note of the relevant sources. There are many guides on the net - the TUM's citation guide,  for example, can be a good aid.

2021, the library commission of the TiHo has published new guidelinies for the preparation of the bibliography of university publications. These are not binding, but should also serve as a guideline for theses.
