Basic and recent developments in reproductive biology, assisted reproduction techniques, and breeding strategies are discussed. Students in the first year Focus Programme Reproduction choose a topic to do an own seminar. At the beginning of the 90 min lecture, the professor gives a 45 min introductory talk followed by a 30 min presentation of one student. The lecture will end up with a 15 min discussion open to the auditorium.

Seminar and lab course

Participants are introduced into techniques of basic and advanced spermatology such as computer-assisted semen analysis and flow cytometry. Possibilities and limitations for the prognosis of male fertility will be discussed.
