Submission of samples and diagnostic results

Dear pet owners,

we are more than happy to assist you not only with questions and concerns regarding a shared patient, but also to provide guidance and support in diagnostics. Animal bodies can be forwarded by us to the Institute of Pathology at TiHo Hannover, and in the case of bird patients, they can also be examined by our specialists. If you are unable to personally bring a sample, animal body, or a data carrier with a CT scan, we kindly ask you to follow these steps:

Please use our registration and data protection form. These documents need to be filled out and signed in advance, and sent to us via fax, scanned email, or post, in order for us to store your data for the legally required period. This is necessary for us to document the respective cases, conduct the desired examinations, and of course, to enter the billing for the services provided.

Sent samples and animal bodies must be appropriately labeled and transported in suitable containers. A CT scan should ideally be sent to our clinic on a CD.

Once we receive the forms and the sample/animal body/CT, we will promptly get in touch with you to discuss the next steps. The team at the Department for Small Animals, Reptiles, and Avians is available to assist you with any questions, issues, or feedback.
