The clinic offers a structured internship program that offers the opportunity to receive intensive training in pet, reptile and bird medicine over a 12-month period and to prepare for possible specialization. The program is currently being further developed by the clinic team; you will be trained in a structured program:

- introductory intensive training with rotation through the departments

- practical courses in diagnostics and on the clinic's important equipment

- Participation in the regular consultation hours after thorough training

- Intensive emergency medicine course for each of the three departments

- Possibility of starting further training during the internship

- Possibility of preparing for a dissertation (finding a topic, structuring it, possibly also starting practical work)

An internship also provides the basis for participation in a residency program to train as a diplomate at the European Veterinary College.

If you are interested in continuing your education in exotic medicine with motivation and commitment, getting involved and working in a young and open team, this program is the right one for you and we look forward to receiving your application! Internship positions are usually filled in May/June of each year, although other start times are currently possible.

If you are interested, you can submit an application or inquiry at any time. The contact person is Dr. Dierig (julie-ann.dierig@tiho-hannover.de) and Prof. Dr. Pees (michael.pees@tiho-hannover.de), or via the secretariat (hrv-sekretariat@tiho-hannover.de).
