Commission for Equality
The Commission for Equality (KfG) is a so-called 'Permanent Senate Commission' (NHG §42(1)). The KfG develops proposals for the university management and the Senate on the implementation of gender equality. The Senate issues the work assignments on the proposal of the gender equality commissioner.
In September 2021, the fourth update of the Gender Equality Plan was completed by the KfG and adopted by the Senate.
As an ongoing task, the commission's activities include advising on the use of the TiHo Fund for Equality for measures to achieve equality.
In addition to such 'major tasks', however, the commission also advocates for 'smaller' concerns. Anyone who works or studies at our university can turn to it to point out grievances or to contribute ideas and suggestions for improvement.
The chairwoman of the KfG is Prof. Franziska Richter Assencio. Her deputy is Prof. Dr Silke Rautenschlein.
