DigiStep
Das Projekt DigiStep umfasst Digitalisierungsschritte von Lehrinhalten im Tiermedizinstudium an der Stiftung Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover und wird gefördert vom Niedersächsischen Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur. Am Projekt beteiligt sind mehrere Einrichtungen der TiHo, so auch das Institut für Zoologie.
Das Hauptziel des Teilprojektes der Zoologie ist die Erstellung von digitalen Lehrmaterialien, um den Verbrauch des Tiermaterials in den Zoologischen Übungen für Tiermediziner erheblich zu reduzieren oder gegebenenfalls zu ersetzen. Dafür werden Videofilme zur Anatomie / Präparation eines Frosches als Vertreter der Amphibien sowie eines Leguans und einer Schlange als Vertreter der Reptilien erarbeitet. Das Videomaterial kann von den Studierenden als optimale Vorbereitung für praktische Übungen sowie als Lernhilfe verwendet werden. Weiterhin wird ein Modell einer Schlange erstellt. Dieses soll als allgemeine Grundlage zum Erlernen der speziellen Anatomie von Schlangen dienen, da gerade diese mit zu den häufigsten Reptilienpatienten gehören.
