We cover a broad spectrum in the field of internal medicine in cattle.

With numerous diagnostic options, extensive imaging and a directly connected laboratory as well as co-operation with external laboratories and experts, we work on internal cases in cattle and calves.

In each case, we combine a detailed clinical examination with other diagnostic options in order to obtain as complete a diagnosis as possible.

• Ultrasound diagnostics with Doppler sonography of all organs that can be visualised sonographically in cattle and calves
  • Abomasum / rumen / liver / intestine / peritoneum
  • Reticulum (foreign body disease)
  • Heart (e.g. inflammation of the heart valves)
  • Lungs (inflammatory changes)
  • Kidney
  • Navel (calf)
• Endoscopy
  • Diagnosis of diseases in the upper respiratory tract and in the throat and mouth area
• Diagnosis of bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases
  • Here we work together with a large number of other institutes and institutions
• Detailed laboratory profiles (clinical laboratory, endocrinological laboratory, sperm laboratory, blood gas analysis)

• Individualised treatment and care
• Intensive care around the clock
  • Care and support for recumbent patients with turning several times a day, breast harnesses and ceiling-mounted cranes in deep straw boxes to support attempts to stand up (we also milk recumbent cows!)
  • Intensive infusion therapy for cows and calves
  • Administration of oxygen (e.g. for premature calves)
  • For the supply of colostrum, we have our own colostrum bank with high-quality, pasteurised and frozen colostrum.
