At the registration desk of the cattle clinic, we take your cattle passport, obtain a few signatures from you and allocate your animal a stable.
We will also coordinate the further procedure regarding your case from here.
The same procedure is always followed after a patient has been admitted.
- A prompt and detailed general examination is carried out by one of our assistant doctors. A distinction is already made here with regard to the measures that are necessary immediately or on a scheduled basis (e.g. the next day).
1.1 If the need for immediate intervention is recognised here, this measure will be initiated without delay (e.g. surgery, obstetrics, condition requiring infusion).
2. The next morning (or on the same day if the animal arrives at the clinic early), the animal is visited again by a senior physician or professor.
2.1 Further measures are then carried out (e.g. taking and analysing samples, ultrasound examinations, orthopaedic treatment).
This way, each patient is examined in detail twice in a short period of time according to the four-eyes principle and a consensus is then reached on the measures/therapies to be taken.
Each animal is then visited at least twice a day and clinically examined once a day so that we can record the exact course of the disease.
The patient's therapy always follows a treatment plan that is customised for the animal.
