ELAN e.V. (E-Learning Academic Network)

The TiHo is a member of ELAN e.V. (E-Learning Academic Network). ELAN e.V. is a non-profit organisation that supports its members in the field of digital teaching and promotes cooperation between its members.

Areas of competence of the association are:

  • Audiovisual media and media technology,
  • E-assessments,
  • Media didactics,
  • Software for teaching, studying and their management,
  • Legal concerns of e-learning.

CIVME - Council on International Veterinary Medical Education

Since the Council was founded in 2016, the TiHo has been regional spokesman for the European sector. The aim is to promote cooperation between teaching institutions and veterinarians worldwide, to drive innovation and to exchange best practices worldwide in order to improve the quality of teaching and education in veterinary medicine.

DVG Specialist Group Didactic and Communication

The disciplines of didactics (theory and practice of teaching and learning) and communication are currently not among the explicit subjects in the study of veterinary medicine. The content and acquisition are therefore offered in separate courses during undergraduate or postgraduate training. Many veterinarians attend further training or courses and thus pursue individual professionalization. These committed advocates of good teaching and communicative competence in the specialist group are offered a forum to exchange information, cooperate and complete further training.

The GMA is a scientific society for the promotion of education, training and further education in research, teaching and practice in the healthcare sector. It is particularly committed to quality assurance and development, professionalization, promotion of interprofessional teaching and learning as well as teaching and learning research, cooperation with other specialist in the healthcare sector and political consultancy.
