[Translate to English:] E-Learning-Beratung Villa

A few years ago, “e-learning” or “edutech” was understood as any form of technology used for educational purposes (video films, cassettes, computers, etc.), whereas today the focus lies with computer-aided and internet-based learning.

The first German-language educational programs in veterinary medicine were completed as early as 1995. In 2004, the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover decided to strengthen the development and use of e-learning and set up an e-learning committee. The E-Learning Service was set up as early as 2005, per suggestion of the committee. Since then, veterinary teaching has been continuously enhanced by e-learning options and examinations have been expanded to include e-assessments. Third-party funded projects have furthermore promoted the development of these digital offers. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a large number of digitally prepared courses and tools, which are also usable in the long term.

The E-Learning Service has been based in the e-learning villa at Bünteweg 11 since the end of 2012.
