Continuing education at the Institute of Biochemistry
The Institute of Biochemistry at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover Foundation sees itself not only as a place of research and teaching, but also as a committed partner in professional continuing education. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Maren von Köckritz-Blickwede, we offer a broad range of training programs aimed at veterinarians, scientific staff, and other professionals in the life sciences.
Our current focus areas in continuing education include:
- Specialist Veterinarian in Biochemistry
Structured training in veterinary biochemistry with practical laboratory experience and involvement in research projects. The content is based on the continuing education guidelines of the Veterinary Chamber. - Understanding and Applying for DFG Funding
An introduction to the funding framework of the German Research Foundation (DFG), from project idea to successful grant application. - Laboratory Safety and Biosafety in Daily Practice
Conveying basic and advanced knowledge of safe laboratory work, including training on biological agents, risk assessment, and emergency management.
Our goal is to provide practical training and to promote the transfer of knowledge between research, clinical practice, and teaching.
