The Institute of Biochemistry, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Maren von Köckritz-Blickwede, offers a structured training program for becoming a specialist veterinarian in biochemistry.
The training includes both theoretical and practical education in modern biochemical methods for research and diagnostics, scientific working skills, as well as active participation in ongoing research projects. The curriculum for the training can be found on the website of the respective Veterinary Chamber.

In addition, in cooperation with the Research Center for Emerging Infections and Zoonoses (RIZ), there is the possibility to pursue further training as a specialist veterinarian in laboratory animal science.
