The degree course Animal Biology and Biomedical Sciences is aimed at graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in the subjects Biology, Biochemistry or a comparable bioscientific study course.

Currently 20 places are available in each study year which are awarded via the university admission procedure.

The study course begins in the Winter Semester. The application dead-line ends on 15 July. The exact requirements can be found in the Admission Regulations to the International Master’s Course Animal Biology and Biomedical Sciences.

Requirements include:

  • Bioscientific Bachelor’s degree course or comparable degree

  • Proof of English knowledge of at least Level B1; alternatively: Proof of at least six years of school English (“A” levels/university entrance qualification certificate) or long-term stay in English-speaking country, e.g., school-year abroad (certificates and other documents), if not native speaker of English
  • For foreigners: Knowledge of the German language of at least Level A1, if not a native speaker of German

 

All 20 places are awarded in accordance with a ranking based on the BSc class of degree. In the case of same BSc classes of degree a draw decides the ranking.

There is a semester fee of circa 400.00 EUR per semester, including the semester travel ticket for Hannover and Lower Saxony.
