The Erich Aehnelt Memorial Award is given for special doctoral achievements. Professor Dr. Erich Aehnelt was the director of the clinic for gynecology and obstetrics of cattle at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover between 1956 and 1974. In his honor, a prize has been awarded since 1977 at any TiHo graduation ceremony by the Ludwig Bertram GmbH company in Laatzen for excellent doctoral dissertations. The award includes prize money of 1,000 euros.
