Duties of the Executive Board
The Executive Board of the General Students’ Committee (AStA) coordinates the organisational and personnel-related tasks of the AStA and ensures that day-to-day operations run smoothly. Our key responsibilities
include chairing meetings, as well as reviewing, compiling and publishing the minutes. In addition, we handle personnel matters and act as a point of contact for all departments and students.
As the AStA’s external representatives, we maintain dialogue with the teaching staff, the university administration and other internal and external bodies.
We are also committed to fostering ongoing dialogue between the student body, the university and the AStA. Together with the Student Parliament (StuPa), we organise the students’ general assembly and strive to listen to and represent the interests of the student body.
AStA meetings
Every Thursday at 6.30 pm, we meet with all the speakers and associate members at the AStA to discuss current issues and keep each other up to date. We’re always delighted to welcome guests and potential new members.
TiHo Open Day
At both the open day and other university events, we represent the AStA and the students, and we’re happy to answer any questions you may have
Closed-door meeting
At least once a year, we organise a retreat. This is an internal, organisational event run by the AStA, designed to enable us to work together on tasks in the interests of the student body, as well as to foster team spirit. We also use this opportunity to maintain the AStA’s premises and gather new and innovative ideas for future projects and events.
General Assembly
Once a term, we organise a general student assembly in collaboration with the StuPa, at which everyone has the opportunity to raise and represent their concerns and interests. Furthermore, votes can be held during this assembly on issues that affect the entire student body. We are responsible for publicising, organising and running the event.
