Individual lab course Zoonoses: Current methods in infection medicine

Lecturers of the HGNI

block Workshop, 24 hours

To be announced

This course aims to provide hands-on learning in labs with focus on specific state-of-the-art techniques that are relevant or of individual interest for the PhD student. Experienced lecturers and scientists provide the benefits of live, in-person training. Extensive training is provided by the labs.
This course thereby also stimulates cooperations among scientists between different HGNI-institutions or cooperating labs.

The students gain experience on specific state-of-the-art techniques, which are relevant for infection research. The course includes
• background knowledge about the principles of the technique
• practical hands-on-training including trouble shooting
• user examples on scientific application of the respective technique.

Location

To be announced by the respective lecturer or to be agreed upon.

Registration

PhD students actively contact labs of interest directly.

Prework

This lab course is to be arranged individually by the student (not in the own lab).
It comprises 8 hours per day work load for 1–5 days.
