A department consists of a maximum of two voting members who perform the tasks of the department.
However, more than two people may also be active in a department. Apart from representatives, associate members may perform the tasks of the department without having voting rights. This arrangement serves to enable former representatives who are in their practical year or who are unable to attend meetings for other reasons to continue their voluntary work in the AStA and to benefit from their commitment without affecting the quorum of the AStA.
