About me
I completed my master studies at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover and received a M.Sc. degree in Animal Biology and Biomedical Sciences in 2018. Since 2019, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the lab of Prof. Dr. Bernd Lepenies.
My Project
My project focuses on the interaction of bacterial ligands with C-type lectin receptors (CLRs). Based on preliminary work of this group, the focus of the project is the identification of bacterial ligands derived from e.g. Legionella pneumophila. Using identified CLR-ligands, I will further study their role in the signaling pathways of Mincle and Clec12a and how these CLRs influence the effector functions of antigen presenting cells.
