Information for participants of "Epidemiology and herd management in pigs”

Course start:      Mo. 10:00 a.m.

End of course:   Fr., approx. 12:00 p.m.

Arrival:                 by car (car pools)

Travel time:        approx. 2 hours from Hannover

You will be excused from all other courses for the duration of the course!

Accommodation:

A flat with six beds in three rooms and a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering opposite of the institute will be provided. Pets are not permitted.

You are required to bring:

  • Lab coat

To prepare for the course, we recommend that you review some of the study materials:

  • Transcripts and textbooks on diseases of the pig (Lehrbuch der Schweinekrankheiten, Waldmann und Wendt, Parey Verlag).
  • Supplements of animal nutrition
  • On viral diseases of the pig: Script of the Institute of Virology
  • On bacterial diseases of the pig: Script of the Institute of Microbiology
