The counselling services offered by Psychological and Therapeutic Counselling for Students (ptb)
As a student at Hanover's universities, you can seek advice from ptb if you are experiencing personal or study-related problems. They offer individual counselling as well as various groups.
Typical counselling topics include:
- Difficulties with your studies
- Exam anxiety
- Graduation
- Orientation problems
- Relationship problems
- Loneliness
- Psychosomatic complaints
- Depressive phases
Counselling appointments take place on the fourth Friday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the TiHo Tower at Bünteweg 2, Room 732 (7th floor):
- 23 October 2026
- 27 November 2026
- 11 December 2026 (preponed due to the Christmas holidays)
- 22 January 2027
You can also make appointments directly with the ptb outside of the open consultation hours. Appointments for new initial consultations are made by telephone on Mondays from 10:00 a.m.
