Hybrid lectures are characterized by a combination of online and in-person teaching. They offer the opportunity to involve students who are unable to attend in person. Additionally, participation of external speakers in a lecture is easily facilitated in the hybrid teaching format.

Hybrid lectures are considered synchronous events. In synchronous lectures, the lecture takes place live on-site with students physically present in the lecture hall, but is also made accessible in real-time digitally via Microsoft® Teams to students at home. Through the group chat feature and the 'raise hand' function in Microsoft® Teams, online participants have not only the opportunity to watch or listen but also to actively participate.

Since the summer semester of 2022, you have the option to conduct lectures in a hybrid format. The Physiology Lecture Hall, the Bayer Lecture Halls at Bünteweg and Bischofsholer Damm, as well as the Lecture Hall at the Institute of Pathology have been equipped with the appropriate technology.

In addition to the cameras in the lecture halls, one set is available for borrowing, including a camera with remote control and an external microphone. With this set, you have the option to conduct your hybrid event in any room of the TiHo.

Instructions for lecturers on how to conduct hybrid lectures in the various lecture halls are available on the intranet website.
