At the University of Veterinary Medicine (TiHo) in Hannover is a position for a


Postdoc (m/w/d)


available from now on and ending on December 31, 2022 in Research Center for Emerging Infections and Zoonoses (RIZ).




The tasks include the following requirements and priorities:



  • Perform scientific research aiming at elucidating of biomarkers of immunosenescence during ageing and to find intervention strategies that improve immune function in the elderly in the framework of an EU-funded project “ISOLDA”.
  • Project management
  • Working independently and as part of an international research team
  • Scientific reporting at international meeting, in peer-reviewed journals and to the funding body.





·         A PhD degree in biomedical sciences or comparable

·         Preferably experience with animal experimentation

·         A proven record of successful publications

·         A keen interest in immunology and virology

·         Relevant experience in these research disciplines

·         Proficient in English and preferably in German


The employment is temporary and will be compensated at 100% working time.

Depending on qualification, the salary will be based according to TV-L (E13).
