At the University of Veterinary Medicine (TiHo) in Hannover is a position for a

 

Postdoc (m/w/d)

 

available from now on and ending 31.12.2022 with envisaged extention to 31.12.2024 in the Research Center for Emerging Infections and Zoonoses (RIZ).

 

 

The tasks include the following requirements and priorities:

 

Tasks

  • Perform scientific research aiming at the development of an universal influenza vaccine and obtaining a better understanding of immune correlates of protection against influenza. The work will be carried out within the framework of the EU-funded project “ENDFLU”
  • Project management
  • Scientific reporting at international meetings, in peer-reviewed journals and to the funding bodies

 

Requirements

 

·         A PhD degree in biomedical sciences or comparable

·         A keen interest in immunology and virology

·         Experience in these research disciplines

·         Preferably experience with animal experimentation

·         A proven publication track record

·         Proficient in English and proficiency in German is appreciated

 

 

The employment is temporary and will be compensated at 100% working time. Potential extension of the contract until 31.12.2024 is envisaged. Depending on qualification, the salary will be based according to TV-L (E13).
