The last Graduate meeting in Animal Behavior of the Ethologische Gesellschaft and the Animal Behaviour Section of the German Zoological Society (DZG) took place at the Zoo Hannover from the 12th to the 13th of July 2018. It was organized by the Institute of Zoology of the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover.


If you are an advanced Master student, a PhD student, or an early-phase PostDoc, we invited you to this Joint Graduate Meeting to present and discuss your thesis with peers from the field of animal behavior. You got the opportunity to present your project and results during a short talk (15 minutes + 5 minutes discussion) in an informal and friendly atmosphere. The language of the meeting and the talks is English. The number of participants is limited to 25 students.


Additional Keynote lectures will be given by:

Prof. Dr. Julia Fischer (Göttingen University)

Prof. Dr. Touma (University of Osnabrück)

Prof. Elke Zimmermann (University of Veterinary Medicine)


There will be no registration fees for the Meeting, but active participation in form of an oral presentation and presence at the meeting on both days is mandatory. For registration send an Email with your contact details and your abstract (max. 250 words) to Animal.Behavior.2018@tiho-hannover.de.
