Facilities and Equipment

The RIZ facilities are embedded in the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover

The RIZ offers two state of the art Research facilities, the Research Laboratory for Infectious Diseases and the Center for Zoonosis Research.

The Center for Zoonosis Research facilitates more than 2000 square meters of biosafety level 2 laboratories. It consists out of 3 floors with a total working area of more than 40 laboratories which are all equipped with the most modern equipment.

The Research Laboratory for Infectious Diseases consists out of large animal facilities under biosafety level 2 and 3 and laboratories under biosafety level 2 and 3.

Equipment

At RIZ you can find diverse up to date equipment for specific techniques for general usage of all TiHo members and guests. The whole equipment can be used for S2 methods.
