Die Vorlesungsreihe „Medizinische Entomologie“ behandelt human- und veterinärmedizinisch relevante Arthropoden und betrachtet hier vor allen die Funktion von Arthropoden als Vektoren. Neben den Arthropoden werden in jeder Vorlesung auch die von ihnen übertragenen Pathogene und deren Bedeutung beleuchtet. Zur Förderung eines vertieften Verständnisses der vorgestellten Arthropoden beinhaltet die Vorlesungsreihe auch Zeichen- und Bestimmungsübungen
