Promotion Prize in Veterinary Medicine of the Kurt Alten Foundation

The author of an outstanding PhD thesis which was prepared within a PhD program of the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover Foundation and led to a successful conclusion of the PhD program should be honored with the award donated by the Kurt Alten Foundation.

The Foundation

The Kurt Alten Foundation is a charitable institution which has the aim of sustainable promotion of talented and motivated young people in all aspects of society. The founder is an entrepreneur from Wennigsen in the region Hannover whose company Alten Gerätebau GmbH has become the European market leader in ramp loading technology. After he left the company, he was particularly interested in the promotion of young people. This award should help to increase the attractiveness of the PhD program which has been offered at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover since 1998.
