Teaching

Since 1975 Medical Physics has been part of the veterinary curriculum. The teaching obligations arise out of “Ordinance of the Approval of Veterinarians” of 10.11.1999. Since then lectures, practical trainings and elective courses in physics have been offered to students of the first semester. Furthermore, lectures, practical trainings and elective courses in radiology are provided for fourth- and fifth-semester students. In addition, courses for acquiring and maintaining the requisite qualification in radiation protection for veterinarians are offered corresponding to the new X-ray ordinance.

Lectures

  • Physics (mechanics, wave theory, thermodynamics, electricity, optics)

3 hours per week during the winter semester (1st semester)

  • Radiology

1 hour per week during the summer semester (4th semester)

2 hours per week during the winter semester (5th semester)

Lecture-based materials can be found at TiHo StudIS .
