Included imprints and journals:

Permanent full-text access to the publisher’s complete journal portfolio (incl. BioMed Central, Springer Medical, Palgrave, Adis und Macmillan Academic).

Excluded imprints and journals:

Nature and Nature branded journals, nor purely professional journals (including but not limited to ATZ, MTZ) and magazines (including but not limited to Scientific American, Spektrum der Wissenschaft).

What does this mean for you as a TiHo scientist?

  • Reading access to a majority of the e-journals including the previous volumes up to 1997.
  • Publication of research articles and reviews in open access in around 1,900 subscription journals (hybrid Open Access/Open Choice) possible without additional payment. TiHo pays the costs in full.
  • For publications in gold Open Access journals, TiHo authors will receive a 20% discount on the article price. These APCs must be paid by the corresponding author - but can still be applied through the TiHo publication fund if they meet the fund's eligibility criteria. The discount does not apply to Nature Communications and Scientific Reports.
  • Additional services, such as "front cover fees" are not covered by the university.
  • Eligible authors are researchers of TiHo as well as the corresponding author of the article, who is responsible for the payment of the publication fee.
