Who is who

N-RENNT combines the strengths of 17 internationally renowned principal investigators (PIs), operating at the intersections of neuroscience and infectiology, and of human and veterinary medicine.
These PIs are internationally recognized experts in infection medicine, neuroscience, and translational medicine and form the backbone of the network. Their scientific qualifications include agent-related pathogenetic expertise and a broad understanding of disorders of the CNS. They have a strong background in studies of infection-related pathogenesis including routes of dissemination, modes of entry, and interactions with the respective arms of the immune system.
Moreover, cellular and molecular interactions within the CNS in inflammatory and degenerative diseases as well as regeneration (or lack thereof) have been studied extensively by the PIs.
