With great sadness we mourn the death of our colleague

Mrs Sigrid Faber on May, 4th 2012. We lost a valuable person, who was a great support for the Graduate School (HGNI) with her long lasting experience in managing PhD programmes.

Since 2000 Sigrid Faber accompanied the PhD program “Veterinary Research and Animal Biology”. With the restructuring of the Graduate School in April 2011 the three of us formed a well-working team organizing now three PhD programmes, together with “Systems Neuroscience” and “Animal and Zoonotic Infections”.

At the latest with the Graduate School Day in November 2011 everyone knew her. This event has encouraged and confirmed Sigrid Faber in her work and she came up with many new ideas for the programmes.

She was interested in other languages and countries, loved her garden and never forgot a birthday.

Sigrid Faber is survived by her husband and daughter, whom we offer our sincere condolences.
