Dr. Martin Heine

Martin Heine studied Biology at the University of Hannover. During his studies, he acquired additional qualifications in Genetic Safety and Laboratory Animal Science. The topic of his diploma thesis was the Polarized Transport of a Fluorescent Form of the VSV-G Protein.

He started his doctoral thesis at the Department of Physiological Chemistry at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, where he worked in the group of Hassan Naim. After two years, when his doctoral adviser, Ralf Jacob, became appointed as a professor in Marburg, he followed him and finished his research at the Department of Cytobiology and Cytopathology at the Philipps-University. The topic of his doctoral thesis were Molecular Components of the Protein Targeting in Mammalian Cells.

After gathering work experience in Project Management in the pharmaceutical industry, he returned to basic research at the Department of Physiological Chemistry at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover.

 

Besides his work in research and administration Martin Heine is a lecturer and authorized examiner.
