Ariane Neumann

Ariane Neumann studied Biology at the University of Bremen. She completed her studies with the Bachelor of Science in the Department of Microbe-Plant Interactions on „Analysis of the influence of crosses between Oryza longistaminata and Oryza sativa on the nitrogenase-gene expression of root-associated bacteria“.

 

For her Master studies she moved to the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, joining the program „Animal Biology and Biomedical Sciences“. The title of her Master thesis was „The role of the antimicrobial peptide LL-37 on the  formation of neutrophil extracellular traps“.

 

In October 2011 Ariane started her PhD project on „ The role of antimicrobial phagocyte extracellular traps against food-borne zoonotic bacterial infections“ within the new PhD program „Animal and Zoonotic Infections“.
